Magic Brownies
A magic brownie is a brownie that has been infused with cannabis. Eating the brownie results in a cannabis high one to a few hours after consumption—as a result, care should be taken not to eat too many of them to avoid adverse effects.
Ingredients
- 4 g cannabis, ground
- 60 g (½ stick/2.1 oz) butter
- 300 g (3½ cups/11 oz) chocolate chips
- 180 ml (¾ cup/160 g/5.6 oz) white granulated sugar
- 2 standard eggs
- 5 ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- Grated lemon zest
- 250 g (1¾ cups/8.8 oz) self-raising flour
Steps
- Melt butter in a small saucepan. Stir in cannabis. Cook slowly over low heat 2–3 hours. Do not boil or exceed 200 °F (93°C).
- Strain out cannabis solids if desired.
- Melt chocolate chips in microwave or over a double boiler. Stir into infused butter until smooth.
- Stir in sugar. Cool if needed.
- Stir in eggs, vanilla, salt and lemon zest until smooth.
- Fold in flour just until combined.
- Transfer batter to a greased and/or parchment-lined pan.
- Bake at 360°F/180°C, 20–25 min, until a toothpick in the center comes out without batter.
Notes from the original
- Try using brown cane sugar instead of white sugar.
- Melt some chocolate and mix with a little sugar, vanilla, lemon, and a little more weed. Drizzle on the freshly cooked brownies for a little added flavour and high. This creates a nicer tasting brownie with more of a kick.
- Try adding a few crushed up biscuits before baking for a more varied taste.
